FRAME OF RESEARCH

Esteban Donoso, Lili Mihajlovic and Thiago Antunes have in common a background in dance, which they want to dig into and resignify. Taking elements from bondage, knitting and interviewing techniques as points of departure, they are creating a peculiar device for letting words and voice flow from their bodies -or others’ bodies. Through the work of attaching the body to objects they create a composite of different material qualities that become displayed as discrete universes; and this allows for unravelling new patterns for thinking, moving, and speaking. questioning the connections between speech and movement.

This residency was made possible with the support of Iberescena and Ministerio de Cultura del Ecuador.
