PENNANEN & QUERREC are collaborating since 2011.
Their films depict the costs of the diminishing human, social and political conditions in Europe today. Their recent fiction film STAANDE! DEBOUT! about ex-workers from Vilvoorde in Belgium, for which they researched at Bains Connective, premiered at the Glasgow Film Festival the 02.2013.
Anu Pennanen
Born in Kirkkonummi in 1975, Anu Pennanen is a Finnish filmmaker and visual artist. Her films describe the effects of the environment, architecture and urban modernization on the lives of individuals. Beginning of an international career with MONUMENT FOR THE INVISIBLE. Her films have been screened at numerous festivals and museums around the world, including CCA Glasgow in 2013, Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki in 2012,

Stephane Querrec
Stephane Querrec is an artist and film director born in the French Basque Country in 1979. After studying at the Jan van Eyck Maastricht, he wrote and directed THE BLACK FLOWER, nominee at the Altadis Prize and screened at Cinema MK2 Paris. His works have been shown internationally, including: Stills Gallery Edinburgh 2013, The Young Art Fair LISTE Basel 2012, Leipzig Kunstverein 2011, FLACC Genk 2011, Frac Pays de la Loire Carquefou 2010, Basis Frankfurt 2009, Tanzquartier Wien 2008, Bonner Kunstverein 2007.
